The YWCA of Thompson is a registered non-profit charitable organization that has been serving the community for over 36 years and was officially incorporated in August 1970. In the early years, the YWCA was primarily a medical receiving home for Northern women and children, however, in the 1980's the organization began to offer community based programs consisting of education and life skills training for women re-entering the workforce. In 2007 we revised our policy allowing men the opportunity to find shelter within our residence.

Today our Residence/Hostel provides both daily and long term accommodations to those who require safe housing and hostel living.  Our Client Agreement also prohibits smoking and alcohol on the premises.

We provide clean affordable rooms for men, women and children. To book a reservation, please call 204-778-6341. For long term accommodations, please call 204-778-1203 or 204-778-6341 and ask for Ann, the Accommodations' manager or email Ann at accmgr_ywca@mts.net
